Clay & Samantha Esplin Family: Kindergarten Graduation

On Thursday Clay and I were able to go to Max's class for his Kindergarten graduation program. His class sang a few songs and told us a few of the things they had learned this year. Max got to be the baker for one of the nursery rhymes. Notice that his apron says "kiss the cook". Max is always embarrassed to hug his teachers or give Clay a hug or a kiss (he'll do it for me) . So Clay is always joking with him that he looks like he needs a kiss. So when we saw him put on that apron Clay said, "he wouldn't wear that if he knew what it said". But when I asked him later he said he already knew what it said. The kids were all so cute, it was fun to watch them. I can't believe Max is going to be in 1st Grade. I remember thinking not too long ago that I wondered when he would be able to read by himself, and now he can!

In a couple of the pictures Max is holding a pillow. The teachers had someone make them for each child. One side has a picture that the child drew in Kindergarten, then they put it onto a pillow. I thought that was so nice. Max loves his!

They still have a couple more days of Kindergarten. Jack and Luke have a little more that a week left. I think they are all ready for summer. I am too! I might go a little crazy having them home all day, everyday, but it will be nice not to have to be somewhere so early in the morning. We are excited to do some camping and have some nice weather. We will miss Grandma and Grandpa Esplin this summer when we are camping. They are almost always there along with us. But we will look forward to next year with them, if they are home in time to go out a bit before it's too cold.
