Our Summer 2011

Well, since I haven't posted anything since the beginning of July, I thought I would just condense the rest of the summer into one post.  It seems like such a long time ago that we were in Cannon Beach (4th of July),  yet the summer has flown by.  Our July and August have been very busy.   Jack had a birthday! #11 Wow! He likes the Miami Heat so he asked for shorts and a watch from them.  For his birthday, Jack wanted to go to Lava Hot Springs so we took the kids over for the day.  I didn't take any pictures (big surprise).  But we had a good time.  We took our new 5th wheel for its first camping trip a couple weeks after that.  We went to Island Park for the weekend with Brett (Clay's business partner) and his family.  It was a really fun trip!  Max learned to ride his bike on that trip!  He picked it up so fast, it was great!  When we got home the kids took swimming lessons at Lava Hot Springs for a week.  They really liked it and they all improved a lot.  I think that is my new favorite swimming lesson spot.  As soon as they finished swimming lessons we headed back up to Island Park for the annual Esplin Family camping trip.  We had a great time, although we missed Gene and Pauline, The Ricks Family and Bart and Tina this year. :(  The kids had so much fun and Sophie learned to ride Her bike this time.  Yeah!!
The week after coming home from Island Park, Clay left for a week on his annual Client fishing trip to the Green River.  Me and the kids hung out at home and one day drove to Idaho Falls for a movie and dinner.  After that Jack got his braces on.  He was sore for a few days, but seems to be doing great now.  Then a couple of weeks ago we drove over to Bear Lake for the lunch at the Coburn reunion.  This is Clay's mom's side of the family.  Even though Pauline wasn't there we had a fun time chatting with a few of the relatives.  Julie and Robyn, who are Lenore's (Pauline's sister) daughters, did a great job with the lunch.  It was decorated so cute and tasted delicious.
Now it is time to get ready to go back to school.  We have got all of the school supplies and the kids start on September 1st.  Then it is off for one more camping trip over Labor Day weekend.  This year we are going to Flaming Gorge.  I have never been there so it should be fun.  Hopefully it will be a little cooler than it has been here.  It has been in the high 90's, which is too hot for us, unless there is a pool or beach close by.  Here are a few photos of  the past couple months:

My sister Nikki took this picture of Sophie when we were staying at Bear Lake.  I thought it was so cute, I had to share it!
